Dear Barton Families and Community,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! It is a privilege to serve as principal of a school community committed to the success, growth, and well-being of every student.

At Barton, our North Star is that every student experiences rigorous, joyful, and inclusive learning every day. We are focused on helping students grow as readers, writers, mathematicians, critical thinkers, and responsible members of their community.

Our work this year is centered on five priorities: belonging, mathematical discourse, purposeful writing, engaged literacy, and the purposeful use of data. Together, these priorities support strong instruction, meaningful collaboration, targeted support, and high expectations for all students.

Our Barton community SHINES by creating a safe, welcoming, and equitable environment where students are seen, supported, challenged, and encouraged to thrive. Family partnership is an important part of this work, and we welcome your involvement in school events, enrichment opportunities, and volunteer activities.

We look forward to a successful year of learning, growth, and achievement as we support our Barton Bulldogs in becoming confident, capable, and accomplished scholars.
